To open an MSDS by file number:Every product can have one or more revisions in DolphinRTK; a new product revision usually corresponds to a new revision of the product's MSDS (material safety data sheet) released by the manufacturer. Each product revision is identified by a unique, unchanging file number. When you know the file number of a revision you want to view, you can open it directly.
To open an MSDS by file number:
Starting at the Product Search page
In the Find field in the upper right, enter any one of the following codes:
/filenumber
/filename
/file
Then press Enter or click the search (
) icon.
The IHS File Number Lookup page opens, showing a File Number field.
In the File Number field, enter the file number of the product you seek. Then press Enter or click the Open button.
If a matching product is found, its Product Information page opens in a new window, showing the matching product.
